Since we used soup and curry which are humid foods in the past studies, we decided to use dry foods and check if the device works well the same way. We used boiled egg, cooked bacon, uncooked bacon, white bread, and cooked rice. These are the results of the first

experiment:

September 20th, 2021. 10:30 P.M.

The bread had the greatest methane gas emission. We must look carefully if the high methane gas emission is because the decay has already begun or it is an example of the different methane gas emissions per food type. The uncooked bacon was not fully melted, so it might be a source of error.

The following pictures are us running the experiment. We will repeat this the same way for 7 days and check the changes of the foods as time flows.
